5K of Love Celebration · Head Shaving · Children Are Singing · World Communion Sunday

We will celebrate surpassing our goal for the 5K of Love Food Drive for Shawnee Community Services with a head shaving! Pastor Johnny will say goodbye to half of his hair during the first service and the other half during second service.

Children will sing at the beginning of both services on Sunday. They have been working on a song for the past few weeks and are excited to share it with us.

Sunday is also World Communion Sunday. This is a day when Christians around the world celebrate communion together. Whether they gather in a cathedral, a mud hut, outside on a hill or in a worship space with a garage door.

It’s a Sunday you won’t want to miss!

Wear your costume and join us for Fall Fest featuring trunk-or-treating, pumpkin decorating, music, games and a bounce house! Don’t forget to invite your friends and neighbors. This is a great event for our community.

Volunteers Needed

Volunteers are needed to help make this event a success. This is always one of our largest events and many hands and trunks are needed! Last year we welcomed 500 people to our church for this event. We still need additional trunks for trunk-or-treat. Our goal is 50 trunks this year. Visit the Connection Corner on Sunday to sign up or sign up here for Community Events and let us know how many trunks you are bringing.

Candy Donations

Donations of individually wrapped, peanut-free candy are also needed for this event. There is a donation drop-off in the lobby of the church.

Thank you for your support of this event!
