9.11.22 Message – Re:Boot

RE:Imagine Regret (1 Timothy 1:12-17)

Life is filled with moments where we do wonderful, amazing things and moments where we do exactly the wrong thing at the wrong time. What do we do with our mistakes as Christians? Do we pretend they never existed, or do we share them in the hopes of showing God’s love, grace, and mercy in our lives? Vulnerability is hard in a world of Instagram perfection, and things are far from perfect in our real lives…sometimes we make mistakes…What do we do with our regrets and can those stories be powerful enough to transform our faith into something even more beautiful?

9.4.22 Message: What’s it Worth to You?

What’s it Worth to You?” (Luke 14:25-33).

Our faith should change us in tangible and obvious ways. Following Jesus means that we think differently than we did before we made that choice, and our lives can show the results of that difference. And sometimes that’s hard to do…Does living a life of faith have a cost, and if so, what should it be? What is sacrifice in our modern time and why does God expect it of us?

8.21.22 Message: She Stood Straight Up

“She Stood Up Straight” (Luke 13:10-17)

7.24.22 Message: I’ve Been Meaning to Ask…Where Do You Find Your Hope?

“I’ve Been Meaning to Ask…Where Do You Find Your Hope?” (Genesis 32:22-32)

Things in life can go south pretty quick. Unexpected illness, death, financial distress, relationship struggles—all can be unknown one day and revealed the next. So how do you hang onto your hope? Where does it come from and what do you do with it when you’re in the middle of the wilderness? We all find hope in different places and experiences. What brings hope to one person can bring despair to another…how can we listen and share our stories to find hope when we need it most?

7.17.22 Message: I’ve Been Meaning to Ask …What Do You Need?

“I’ve Been Meaning to Ask…What Do You Need?” (Job 2:11-13)

We believe everyone has needs, but each of us needs different things at different times. God calls us to care for one another—in seasons of joy, transition, and hardship. How can we commit to listening and being present in the ways in which those around us need the most? What do we do with our own needs and worries while we do this?

7.10.22 Message: I’ve Been Meaning to Ask…Where Does it Hurt?

“I’ve Been Meaning to Ask…Where Does It Hurt?” (Mark 5:21-34)

We never know just from looking at someone where they have been in their life and what they have gone through. Everyone carries hurt and also, everyone has the capacity to acknowledge the pain of others. God draws us close in every moment of our suffering. How can being vulnerable help our compassion? How can we be present for one another in ways that shares God’s love?

7.3.22 Message: I’ve Been Meaning to Ask … Where Are You From?

“I’ve Been Meaning to Ask…Where Are You from?” (Genesis 2:4b-15)

What makes you, YOU? What are the stories of your life that have woven you into the person you are today? Everyone is beloved, shaped from the dust of the earth and the breath of God. Everyone has a story to tell. Our stories are messy and beautiful, painful and hopeful—being written and rewritten over time. Sometimes folks can assume things about us because of those stories—but we need to stay curious and commit to disrupting our assumptions in order to learn and support one another.

6.26.22 Message: Dancing with the Spirit – From Opening Night to a Lifetime Run

Dancing with the Spirit: From Opening Night to a Lifetime Run (Galatians 5:22-26).

What does it look like when the Holy Spirit is in our lives? Does that mean we are superhuman Christians, or just still regular folks with the same old problems? If the Spirit is, indeed, influencing our lives, then does that change how we live our lives and the choices we make? This week we’re exploring together what it looks like when the Spirit is in us and what that could mean…

6.19.22 Message: Dancing With the Spirit – Learning the Steps

Dancing with the Spirit: Learning the Steps

Isaiah 61:1-4, 8a

As followers of God we want to know that our lives serve a purpose…but often we’re unsure of what that purpose is. How does the Holy Spirit guide us in finding our purpose and what could it be? Does the Spirit have expectations of how we live our life and the choices we make in it?
