Now that we are here, planted, and growing in our new neighborhood what do we do next?
Could it be that God is calling us to things that are "greater" which take more time and patient presence in our neighborhood now that all the things that are "bigger" like building sales and new church launching have been done? The things that are unique to the ministry of our church in this community like our theology of welcome and our commitment to justice?
This year's pledge theme is "Growing In Greater Things" and includes...
-Giving 13% of our resources away as a tithe to mission at a total of $40,000. This increase in missional money supports the work of global mission around the world, Shawnee Community Services, Micah Ministry, The KC Disciple Region, and includes $4000 to care for our new partner at Broken Arrow Elementary School.
-Increase for staff salaries and ministry budgets including a commitment to grow our Practice Series in 2017 as well as support for a new seminary intern.
-A commitment to sustainable budgeting including budgeting for $20,000 in reserves to make our church safe in moments of financial crisis that might otherwise hamper our ministry.
