November 1, 2020 Ministry Update
Our building Reopening Team and Shawnee Community staff recently met to consider new updates, guidance, and public gathering safety for our church in light of the current COVID situation in our community. Please note- our church is open and doing ministry. We are worshiping, serving, and studying our faith. The building is the only thing that is closed.
On Sunday, December 6, we will begin in-person worship for a small group of worshippers each Sunday at 10:30 am.
Worshippers will be able to sign-up to attend the Sunday service a week or two in advance allowing us to make plans for nursery and building staff. Strict social distancing and mask requirements will be followed. For those not comfortable attending church in-person, we will continue to stream services online each Sunday. Additional details about in-person worship will be made available in the coming weeks. We look forward to seeing everyone again as we gather safely together for worship.
Our Current Plan
Worship: We will continue to worship online on Sundays at 10:30 am on Facebook through Sunday, November 29.
Community Kids: Community kids continues to find inventive ways to connect with kids during this time. Email Patt Ludwick, director of family ministry, to make sure you are receiving weekly emails.
Student Ministry: Student ministry for youth grade 5-12 continues to connect during this time. Email Jack Sampel to connect.
Giving: Your generosity is critical to our ministry during this time. We are so appreciative to all of you that have started or increased giving so that our ministry can continue to offer hope and connection to people. If you haven’t done it, we encourage you to automate your monthly or weekly giving online. If you have questions or problems setting this up, please email email@example.com.
