Church World Service Hygiene Kit Collection
Hope. In Small Packages.
On Sunday, September 1 we will have a day of service putting together hygiene kits for Church World Service. With all the spring tornadoes and floods, Church World Service is low on hygiene kits. The kits are provided to families and individuals following natural disasters, violence or those facing extreme poverty. Each year tens of thousands of kits are delivered to people in need throughout the world.
We will collect supplies for the kits beginning Sunday, July 21 through Sunday, August 25. There will be a donation bin near Connection Corner for you to drop off supplies. Our goal is to collect enough supplies and money to put together 500 hygiene kits. One hygiene kit costs about $15 to assemble.
Supplies Needed for the Hygiene Kits
- Hand towels measuring approximately 15″ x 28″ to 16″ x 32″ (no fingertip, bath, dish towel or micro-fiber)
- Washcloths
- Wide-tooth combs
- Fingernail or toenail clippers
- Bath-size bar of soap in the original package
- Toothbrushes in the original package
- Standard size Band-Aids
Want to donate money to purchase supplies rather than shopping for them yourself? Donate online.
Thank you for you generosity and support!
