Volunteer Spotlight

Rachel Downing has been a part of Shawnee Community for 7 years with her husband Stephen (married 12 years) and two sons, Teddy (8 years) and Des (3 months). She has worked on the Children’s Ministry Committee many years and is a vital part of planning and implementing our programs. What she loves best about Shawnee Community is that “we’re a community”. Rachel currently volunteers in the nursery two times a month. She is a Clinical Social Worker in Community Mental Health working in children and youth services. When not loving on her two amazing boys, she likes to crochet, cook and garden.  Rachel, thank you for bringing your special talents to serve at Shawnee Community!
