How do you feel about giving, generosity, and managing your everyday resources?

Many of us struggle with how to view our time, energy, and money. We can easily get caught in the trap of comparing ourselves to others, worrying about scarcity, or feeling like giving to the church is just a guilt trip, a heavy checklist of obligations, or simply paying the bills.

And yet at the same time, where we invest our resources directly shapes where our hearts follow. True faith isn’t about making trades with God or measuring our worth by wealth, status, and budget numbers.

Our new sermon series, There Our Hearts Will Be, helps us unpack our mindsets around stewardship and generosity. Together, we will explore how giving can move from an obligation to an active, joyful practice of love and trust—helping us reject fear and scarcity so we can share God’s radical abundance, grace, and hope with a hurting world.

2026 GKC Regional Assembly: “Being the Body of Christ”

Join us for the Greater Kansas City Regional Assembly at Fairview Christian Church! This two-day gathering features worship, fellowship, workshop sessions, and an Installation Service for our new Regional Minister, Rev. Dr. Lara Blackwood Pickrel, along with our Regional Youth Cabinet.

  • Dates: Friday, Oct 9 (5:30 PM – 8:00 PM) & Saturday, Oct 10 (9:30 AM – 3:00 PM)
  • Location: Fairview Christian Church
  • Highlights: Friday evening games/fellowship; Saturday worship, keynote, & Regional Business Meeting; Children’s Program (3 months – elementary school) provided.
  • Registration Cost: $5 (Friday only) or $20 (Friday & Saturday). Group discounts available ($75 for up to 5 people). Registration proceeds support Intersect KC and Deaf International.

Join Us at JoCo Pride 2026: “Coming Out for Community”

Johnson County Pride is returning on Saturday, October 10, 2026, held at Grace United Methodist Church in Olathe!

Our congregation will be hosting a booth at the festival to put our faith into action, support our LGBTQ+ neighbors, and share our message of radical inclusion and love. We invite everyone in our church family to come out, enjoy the music, vendors, and festivities, and stop by our booth to connect with friends old and new.

Whether you stay for an hour or spend the whole day at the festival, we hope to see you there celebrating community together!

Trunk or Treat!

Put on your favorite Halloween costumes and join us for an afternoon of fun, decorated car trunks, and plenty of treats! This is a free, safe, and family-friendly event open to everyone in our community.
