Good Enough: Lenten Sermon Series

On Sunday, February 18, we begin our Lenten sermon series, Good Enough: Embracing the Imperfections of Life and Faith. The level of expectation and pressure to “keep up,” “buck up,” “measure up,” and “build up” have always been high. And now as we ease back into a hopefully-post-ish-pandemic world, the exhaustion is real but the expectations are again creeping up, nudging us toward some vision of a “good life” defined by society that isn’t always realistic or even possible.

Stuff happens in the middle of our carefully-laid plans to be better, better, best. Life happens and the ensuing disappointment and feelings of not “measuring up” can leave us thinking that the lives we are living are somehow “less than.” So what is a “good enough” attitude towards life and faith?

Looking Ahead

Saturday, March 23 • 3-5:00 p.m.

Mark your calendars! The Easter Egg Hunt and Community Celebration is Saturday, March 23 from 3-5:00 p.m. There will be photos with the Easter Bunny, a bounce house, crafts and of course the Easter Egg Hunt. We need your help to make this a success. We are collecting individually wrapped bags of candy. There is a bin in the lobby at the church to place donations in. Additional volunteer opportunities will be coming soon. Please consider how you can be a part of this important event in the life of our church.

We greatly appreciate your support in making this event a success. This event is a great opportunity to connect with our neighbors and truly live out the mission and values we repeat each Sunday – “to invite our neighbors to experience and share God’s love.”
